Law of Attraction — Why Sustained Thought Becomes Reality

The folk principle that what you constantly think about tends to come into your life is not magical thinking — it is the same in-phase resonance rule that governs gravity, electromagnetism, quantum entanglement and karma, applied at the scale of a Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes.

Across cultures, traditions and modern self-help literature, one folk principle keeps reappearing: "what you sustain in thought, you draw into your life". Buddhist mind-training, Vietnamese folk wisdom ("cầu được ước thấy", "nghĩ gì tới đó"), Stoic discipline of attention, and the modern "Law of Attraction" — all converge on the same observation. Materialism dismisses it as confirmation bias and selective recall. Supreme Polarity Theory takes a different view: the principle is real, it has a precise geometric mechanism, and it is the same mechanism that produces karma, gravity, magnetism and quantum entanglement. It is the in-phase resonance rule, applied at the scale of a Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes (Mẫu các Node Thái Cực).

The mechanism in one sentence: a sustained pattern of thought is a sustained phase-state of your Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes — and patterns with sustained phase-state preferentially encounter, recognise, and bind with resonant patterns in the membrane around them. This is just gravity, applied to mental phase-state.

Thought as a phase-state of the Pattern

Standard neuroscience treats thought as patterns of neural firing — useful as a description, but it does not explain what the firing is doing geometrically. SPT does. Each neuron is a coherent cluster of Tai Chi nodes whose collective flip-spin behaviour produces a local membrane disturbance. Sustained mental focus on a particular subject — a person, a goal, a fear, a desire — drives the same neural sub-pattern repeatedly into the same coherent flip-spin configuration. The repetition is not just a thought; it is a sustained tilt in the integrated phase-state of your entire Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes.

Brief thoughts barely shift the phase-state. A passing worry, an idle daydream, a flash of irritation — these create only momentary phase-fluctuations that quickly average out. Sustained thoughts shift the phase-state significantly. A worry you carry for weeks, a vision you hold for months, a person you think about every day — these accumulate into a real, measurable phase-tilt of your Pattern. The membrane around you registers that tilt, because the membrane registers every phase-state of every Pattern at all times. The longer and more vividly a thought is held, the more strongly your Pattern's phase-state aligns with the resonant configuration of whatever the thought is about.

Why phase-tilted Patterns attract their resonance

Recall the foundational rule of SPT: in-phase patterns attract; anti-phase patterns repel. This rule does not just hold for spinning electrons in a magnet or two galaxies; it holds for every phase-correlation pattern in the membrane, including the integrated phase-state of conscious beings. When your Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes settles into a sustained phase-tilt — say, the phase-configuration associated with "thinking about love" or "thinking about money" or "thinking about a specific person" — that tilt is a real geometric structure in the membrane. The membrane has a tendency to bring resonant structures into proximity, exactly as it does for masses (gravity), magnets (magnetism), and entangled particles. Encounters that match your phase-tilt happen measurably more often than would be predicted by ordinary statistical chance. This is the entire mechanism behind the Law of Attraction.

The effect is statistical, not deterministic. A sustained phase-tilt does not magically materialise the thought-of object; it slightly biases the probability distribution of encounters in your direction. Over weeks and months and years, slight biases compound into measurably non-random life trajectories. People who hold a vision of becoming a writer find themselves meeting writers, finding writing opportunities, encountering the right books. People who hold a fear of being abandoned find themselves repeatedly drawn to relationships that confirm the fear. Same mechanism, opposite valence. The membrane is not judgmental; it propagates whatever phase-state is sustained.

This is why folk wisdom says "sợ gì gặp đó" (what you fear, you encounter) and "cầu được ước thấy" (what you ask for, you receive). The two phrases are the same mechanism in two emotional directions: sustained phase-tilt — whether toward fear or toward desire — biases what enters your phase-environment.

Why thought matters even without action

Skeptics object: "surely you have to act on a thought for it to come true — pure thinking does nothing." Action helps; SPT does not deny that. But action is not strictly required for the resonance mechanism to operate. The membrane responds to phase-state directly, not to action. A sustained inner phase-tilt biases encounters even when the thinker has not yet taken any visible step toward the thought-of goal. This is why people who finally act on a long-held vision often report that "everything fell into place" — not because acting on day one would have failed, but because the months of sustained phase-tilt had been quietly aligning the resonant environment in the meantime. The action arrives into a field already prepared. Action plus sustained phase-tilt is far more effective than either alone, because the action injects Càn-projection energy into a configuration the membrane has already been resonance-priming.

Why the principle 'fails' for some people — and what they're actually doing

The Law of Attraction has been mocked, partly with reason, because superficial attempts to use it ("think positive thoughts about being rich and money will appear") usually fail. SPT predicts exactly why. The membrane responds to the integrated phase-state of the entire Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes, not to surface-level positive affirmations. Most people who say they are visualising wealth carry, beneath the surface, an integrated phase-state heavy with phase-fragmentation toward wealth: childhood scarcity beliefs, shame about money, fear of judgement, deep doubt of deservingness. The surface affirmation is a thin layer of in-phase thought sitting on top of a thick substrate of anti-phase thought. The membrane responds to the substrate, not the surface. Net result: nothing changes, or worse, the substrate's resonance dominates and brings more of what the substrate is fragmented around.

Effective use of the principle therefore requires not surface affirmation but integrated phase-state alignment — the slow, deep work of identifying the substrate beliefs and gradually re-orienting them toward phase-coherence. This is why every contemplative tradition that takes the principle seriously also prescribes meditation, ethical practice, shadow work, therapy, gratitude practice, and patience. They are not separate from the "law of attraction"; they are what makes the law of attraction actually work. Surface positive thinking is a misunderstanding; deep phase-state cultivation is the real practice.

How this connects to nhân quả and nghiệp

The Law of Attraction is not separate from karma — it is the same mechanism observed at a shorter timescale. Karma describes the long-term integrated phase-state of a Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes (nghiệp) and the consequences it produces over a lifetime, lifetimes, and family lines (see Karma & Causality). The Law of Attraction describes the same integrated phase-state and its consequences over weeks, months, years. Karma is the cosmic timescale; Law of Attraction is the personal timescale. They are one phenomenon at two zoom levels.

Nhân Quả (causality)
Single action → single phase-imprint → specific later consequence. The differential.
Law of Attraction (Vạn Vật Hấp Dẫn)
Sustained thought-state → sustained phase-tilt of the Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes → biased encounters over weeks-to-years. The medium-term integral.
Nghiệp (karma)
Lifetime+ accumulated phase-state → long-term life trajectory, rest-state texture, future incarnation conditions. The long-term integral.
One mechanism — the in-phase resonance of the membrane — produces all three: cause-and-effect (nhân quả), Law of Attraction (Vạn Vật Hấp Dẫn), and karma (nghiệp). Different timescales, same physics. What you do once is nhân quả. What you sustain in thought is the Law of Attraction. What your entire Pattern of Tai Chi Nodes integrates into across a life and across lives is nghiệp. All three are the membrane keeping its books.

Practical implications

  • Mind your dominant phase-state, not just your dominant actions. What you sustain inside affects your environment as much as what you do outside.
  • Sustained vision matters more than vivid wishing. A clear, consistent, low-emotion phase-tilt held for years moves more than an intense burst of desire held for a week.
  • Address the substrate, not the surface. If your visible affirmations are not producing results, audit the phase-state underneath them. The substrate is what the membrane is responding to.
  • Coherence beats positivity. A grounded, integrated, ethical phase-state attracts coherent encounters even without specific positive content. A fragmented, dishonest, anxious phase-state cannot be cured by positive thinking — only by integration.
  • Patience. The membrane responds at the timescale of the integrated phase-state — weeks-to-years for medium effects, lifetimes for deep effects. Quick fixes do not exist; consistent practice does.
  • You are not at the mercy of the membrane. You can change your integrated phase-state through deliberate practice — meditation, ethical action, mindful presence, therapy, time spent with phase-coherent people. The membrane records every change.
This chapter is structural and interpretive. SPT predicts that a Law-of-Attraction-like effect must exist because the in-phase resonance rule applies at every scale. It does not promise that any specific wish will manifest if you think hard enough. The effect is statistical, gradual, and dependent on the integrated phase-state — not the surface affirmation. Treat as a serious framework for ordering your inner life, not as a guarantee of any specific outcome.
